May 14, 2018 / Athlete News

First race of the season is in the books

Two days of racing are behind us. From May 12-13, the Kenda Enduro One series held its first stop of the season in Winterberg, in the heart of Germany. 8 stages had to be mastered in the woods around Winterberg. Over 700 riders showed up at the starting line of the race that was booked out already months ago. Sunshine and warm temperatures greeted the riders on Saturday that was reserved for training, the prologue and the kids' race "Wild Childs". However, the weather gods would be less lenient on Sunday. While the first starters were able to finish the stages, later riders had to finish the race early as it was cancelled for severe rain and thunderstorms. Despite the unexpected early end on Sunday, the race was a full success and a great start to the series. The next stop will be in Rossbach, Germany, on June 9/10.
