Chloe Dygert-Owen crushes field for Individual Time Trial Gold

American, Chloe Dygert-Owen (Sho-Air Twenty20 Team) took the gold medal and rainbow stripes for the Elite Women's Individual Time Trial at the 2019 UCI World Championships, held in Yorkshire.  Dygert-Owen stormed over the 32.5 km course as it was battered  with heavy rains which plagued riders all day.  A clearly exhausted Dygert-Owen crossed the line in 42:11.57, a staggering 1:32 faster than her nearest rival, defending World Champion Anna Van der Breggen of the Netherlands.

This marks the first Elite Individual Time Trial World Championship for Dygert-Owen, and continues her string of victories after sweeping all 4 stagesand the overall victory at the 2019 Colorado Classic.
