A bicycle is composed of many high tech parts, each with their own specific fit, form or function. However, no part is as important to the success and security of a ride than your tires. If you are doing it right, the tires are the only part of your bicycle that is in contact with the ground; and if the tires do their job, they keep you from contacting the ground.
Earlier this year, Kenda invited the Science Channel to join us in our factory to see what all goes into the production of a mountain bike tire. Their video highlights how a tire goes from a sketched out idea to a mix of different compounds and materials and is finally formed into the bicycle tire to strong enough to take on the most rigerous trail conditions possible.
