MEDALS DOWN UNDER - SILVER AND BRONZE AT WORLD CHAMPS FOR UR TEAM - A HISTORICAL MOMENT FOR KENDA
A rollercoaster of emotions went down at the UCI MTB World Championships in Cairns, Australia this weekend. The Polygon-UR Team was represented by Mick And Tracey Hannah after Alex Fayolle had to take a break due to health problems. After preparing all season for this event in their home town, Tracey and Mick were ready to push their hardest on the course. Both were riding the Kenda Hellkat, a gravity tire that had been developed together with the team to fit their needs exactly.

Tracey had a huge crash in her run, but she miraculously got back on the bike after being knocked out, and then showed her incredible motivation by finish 3rd, not even 2 seconds behind the winnig time. Oh what could have been...

After that, it was Mick's turn on the slippery track. We saw Mick executing one of the best runs of his career, staying smooth and fast, destroying the best time and creating one of the most emotional and electric vibes ever seen at a finish line. From that moment on we all started dreaming loud and never felt closer to the goal until Loic Bruni, former elite World Champ, beat Mick by just 0.3 seconds. After the last rider came down, it was a déja-vu feeling with Mick getting the 2nd place and the silver medal.

In the words of team owner Fabien Cousinié:
