Hard rubber compound

Maximum tread life and speed

Designed as a complement to endurance training tires, the Hard Rubber Compound is a quick rolling, long wearing rubber compound that still provides a comfortable ride without feeling too hard. The HRC is a 70sA compound for maximum tread life and speed.

R3C

Pure racing compound

R3C is Kenda's fastest rubber compound and used exclusively for high end racing tires. With significantly lower rolling resistance and increased wet weather traction, the R3C compound is truly the successor to the R2C rubber.  Destined for race day, this isn’t your daily commuter compound.

R2C

Superior dual road compound

Kenda’s road-specific dual compound blends traction and speed. R2C tires contain rubber with two different Shore-A measurements, the center compound is 70sA, for rolling speed, while the shoulders utilize a tacky 60sA compound for increased confidence in corners. Compared to R3C it is lighter but has a slightly higher rolling resistance.

L3R PRO

The performance work horse

L3R Pro is Kenda's most versatile compound. L3R Pro is found on anything from road racing to cross country (XC) mountain bike tires. At 60sA, the L3R Pro is a fast and solid performer. The benefits are light-weight, fast rolling and increased tread life.

NATURAL RUBBER COMPOUND

NRC is a low rolling resistance blend of natural and synthetic rubber compounds that allow Kenda tubulars to provide a smooth, quick, and agile handling. NRC is slightly softer than the R2C, with a 65sA and further improves the quality of Kenda tubular tires.

STANDARD RUBBER COMPOUND

Standard Rubber Compound combines the best attributes of low rolling resistance, high durability and tread longevity into one universal package that benefits riders from daily commuting to weekend touring.

Dual tread compound

Your first choice offroad

Dual Tread Compound - The original dual tread rubber compound for Kenda.  A hard long lasting and fast rolling rubber (60sA) comprises the center of the tread area, while a softer-tackier should rubber  (50sA) completes this binary compound for the versatility of speed and grip off road.

Cyclocross - dual tread compound

The CX-DTC compound blends two of Kenda’s best performing offroad compounds for an superior performance that is suitable for the most aggressive of cyclocross courses. Stick-E (50sA) compound down the center, RSR (42sA) compound across the transition and shoulder knobs.

DH-DTC

Grip, grip, grip!

The DH-DTC compound blends two of Kenda’s best performing offroad compounds for an superior performance that is suitable for the most aggressive of Enduro courses while still being tough enough to tackle downhill tracks. Stick-E (50sA) compound down the center, RSR (42sA) compound across the transition and shoulder knobs.

The original all mountain and downhill compound

Stick-E is Kenda’s original all mountain and downhill rubber compound. The 50sA rubber still provides sure grip for a wide range of trails and conditions while lasting longer than softer compounds. In addition to being used as the shoulder compound on DTC tires, Kenda also offers tires in complete Stick-E compound for the all mountain rider who wants a balanced tire life with a sure grip.

RACE STICK-E RUBBER

Our stickiest compound for race day

RSR is a compound that takes grip to a whole new level. With a 42sA, the RSR compound is super soft and sticky for a variety of surface types and conditions. The soft compound provides not only superior grip, but also works as a small degree of independent suspension as each tire knob flex and reform on the trail surface - for race days only.
